In The Rehearsal, a number of actors seem to be rehearsing a play, but something else also seems to be going on, too… In order not to give the game away, let’s just say that the young Spaniards are interested in exploring questions of space, time, and representation. In The Rehearsal, which has caused a stir at festivals worldwide and was recently awarded the New York Dance and Performance Award, Spanish director and dancer Cuqui Jerez presents a study of infinity, using the stage and the theatre as a metaphor to explain the world.
