It's the real thing - Basel Documentary Platform is the Swiss festival of documentary and propagandistic arts.

What is reality and how do I change it in my favor? This key question for all managers, coaching specialists, fraudsters, psychotherapists, politicians, documentarists, system theorists and artists was the focus of It's the real thing - Basel Documentary Platform '13.  The artists' festival, initiated and conceived by theater director and author Boris Nikitin, examined the genre of documentary theater from the perspective of reality production and brought together artists, thinkers and the audience at Kaserne Basel and Theater Roxy Birsfelden. She She Pop, Jerome Bel, Milo Rau, Cuqui Jerez, Rabih Mroué, Rachid Ouramdane, Ariane Andereggen and Beatrice Fleischlin took part with artistic productions. 
There was also a two-day symposium with Dirk Baecker, Capri Connection, Gregor Gysi, Hans-Werner Kroesinger, Stefanie Wenner, Fritz B. Simon, Barbara Gronau, Franz Liebl, Cecilie Ullerup Schmidt and Schauplatz International.
